After a visit to the Cairns Botanical Gardens and seeing the peaceful gardens and orchid house, we flew to Sydney (about a 3 hour flight.) Interesting differences in airline and airport procedures - water and other liquids are fine to carry through security and meals are actually still served on the airlines!
Last night in Cairns I attended a Rotary Meeting. The group gives a toast to the Queen at the beginning of the meeting and I enjoyed meeting Rotarians in Australia. One of the Rotarians has visited Rotary in central Florida and hosted a Rotary GSE team of visitors from central Florida - it is a small world!
After arrival in Sydney we attended a performance of A Little Night Music at the Sydney Opera House. The Sydney Harbour Bridge is lovely at night.
